WE ARE OPEN

Good to Go England

We have now been given the go-ahead to open our cottages again from 4th July and we are taking bookings.

During our VisitEngland inspection in January 2020, we achieved 100% for the cleanliness of our cottages- we have worked hard during the Lockdown to enhance these as processes we are ensuring the cottage that you have booked will be cleaned and sanitised to the Covid Ready Guidelines from PASC UK, the AA and Visit England. We have produced a Risk Assessment that covers all aspects of our business and this can be seen on demand, or download it now.

Old Rectory Cottages is a great place to stay! Our cottages are set in 7 acres of grounds and are surrounded on three sides by farmland- a haven for wildlife. Dogs are welcome at no extra cost.

Due to the additional cleaning we are required to do, we have temporarily stopped taking bookings for stays of less than 5 days.

Guests staying during July, August and September will benefit from our “no-quibble” refund arrangements in the event of a new lockdown or travel restrictions being imposed.

We Hope To Open Again Soon

Created: Tuesday 2nd June 2020 4:39PM

In common with all holiday accommodation we have been closed for business since the end of March

The current government thinking for easing the lockdown, envisages that some Hospitality Businesses may be able to open on the 4th July at the very earliest, but we have no commitment to a specific date just yet, although it is generally recognised that self-catering will be in the first phase. The guidance may well change in the coming weeks, and even if it doesn’t, we will not rush to open unless we are sure we are 100% ready, we are able reassure our guests that we offer a safe environment, and continue to maintain high standards.

During our annual VisitEngland inspection in January 2020 we received a 100% score for the cleanliness of our cottages and we will work even harder to ensure our guests safety, our cleaners’ safety and our own safety. We understand that Visit Britain will be operating a certification Scheme, which we intend to be part of

Any guests hoping to visit The Old Rectory, during July, August or September should telephone or e-mail us to find out whether we have been able to open and also details of our no quibble refund arrangements
